In the spirit of respect and truth, KNetic would like to take this opportunity to honour and acknowledge that we operate in Moh’kinsstis, and within the traditional and ancestral territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta: the Blackfoot Confederacy (Kainai, Piikani and Siksika), as well as the Tsuu T’ina Nation and Stoney Nakoda First Nation (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). We acknowledge that this territory is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis Homeland.
We respect the histories, languages, and cultures of First Nations, Metis, Inuit, and all First Peoples of Canada, whose presence continues to enrich our community. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we are visiting to live, work, play and love.
